The waterfalls of Ouzoud
Cascade ouzoud means: cascades mills in Berber.
There are waterfalls of about 110 m high, on three levels. This vast site is an important Moroccan tourist site 150 km from Marrakech.
The area is planted with olive trees, fig trees, and almond trees, and also known by the large number of macaque monkeys who come to greet tourists and try to take what they have in their hands, it’s funny but beware.
Ouzoud is an ideal place for nature lovers, greenery and calm is only 2:30 of Marrakech.
For a day trip the departure is at 8:00 with a single stop for coffee break.
Once you arrive you have the choice to take a local guide to go for a walk and make the visit, or to share it yourself if you are sure not to get lost. You can also go for a ride on the small boat that will take you to the waterfall and all around the river.
Note that there are many stairs and you have to put walking shoes.
The return is at 16H00.
